Dog Won’t Leave Fallen Navy SEAL’s Side (Video)

Lisa Pembleton

Hawkeye the dog at his master's funeral

Navy SEAL Jon Tumilson had a very close friend in his life – his dog, Hawkeye. Tumilson, a former San Diego resident, was killed August 6 in the Chinook helicopter crash that also claimed the lives of 29 other American servicemembers.

Tumilson’s funeral was on Friday in Rockford, Iowa at Rockford Senior High. Hawkeye was one of the 1,500 souls who attended. As you can see by the gut-wrenching photo on the right, Hawkeye refused to leave his master’s side during the service.

The picture was taken by Lisa Pembleton, Tumilson’s cousin. Pembleton contacted Home Post with this message:

Hawkeye is/was his loyal “son”. To say that
he was an amazing man doesn’t do him justice. The loss of Jon to his
family, military family and friends is immeasurable. I hadn’t planned
on taking any pictures other than with family. However, from my seat
at the funeral, I felt compelled to take one photo to share with
family members that couldn’t make it or couldn’t see what I could from
the aisile. This is that photo…

Pembleton also informed Home Post that a memorial fund has been set up in Tumilson’s memory:

First Security Bank and Trust
201 West Main Ave.
Rockford, IA 50468
Frogman 238 Memorial Fund

This breaks my heart. The loyalty of this dog is a testament to the master who raised him. Dogs are very precious indeed, and their loyalty knows no bounds. It is obvious to me that his owner was a very honorable individual as well, whose loyalty and bravery was ceaseless. He paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country and for that I am eternally appreciative. This war needs to end. Too many lives are being lost. I am crying tonight for this young man, his dog Hawkeye, his family, his friends and all of the other people whose hearts are hurting tonight from this despicable tragedy. I am without words.

This is gut wrenching. I hope and pray that Hawkeye will stay with Jon’s family for the rest of his life. I’m going to make a donation to the memorial fund and see if I can find any way to send Hawkeye some toys and a pre-paid Visa for some dog food. Bless his heart. Rip, Jon. Thank you for keeping me safe.

This show us how strengthen of their love is. It’s hard to show emotional by word; picture could better explain meaning of their relationship

  • La82david6

Although I did not know Jon Tumilson, as a Peace Officer and a dog owner, my heart goes out to his family.  To have Hawkeye there beside him as his friends and family said goodbye, no words could describe what that means to have the undying love and loyality of his best friend even to the end.  The unconditional love your pet has for you can never be matched, so i hope when it’s my turn, my best friend will be there with me too.  God bless you Jon Tumilson, you are a great man!

There were 30 US forces killed in this crash, not 29.  Please get the facts correct.  I’m sure you would hate to be the one family member who lost their loved one and be left out.

Eight Afghanis were killed as well.  In total 38 people were killed on this tragic day.

  • Kyliehd

Thank you for your sacrifice so that I can live free, god bless you and god bless America

  • Beth Ford Roth

    Anon,
My facts are correct. I wrote, “Tumilson, a former San Diego resident, was killed August 6 in the Chinook helicopter crash that ALSO claimed the lives of 29 OTHER American servicemembers.” The way the sentence is written indicates that a total of 30 men lost their lives.
    Thank you,
    Beth

  • Tori2labs

There were 31 US forces killed in this crash. Bart a Navy war dog was also killed. Let us honor him also.

  • Guest

It actually says 29 OTHER American servicemembers.

  • JohnDoe

The article stated 29 OTHER American service members. Get your facts straight before knocking others. But this is petty, the point is we lost the lives of Great people.  They will be missed!

    Callie,
In Southern lingo of old, you NEVER “Bless (name) heart.” except as an insult. That insult is usually not understood by that person. I won’t explain what it means here, but you need to look it up.

I’m saddened by the loss of any soldiers life fighting someone else’s war.
We would be no freer nor restrained if we had never gone over there.
That makes all these loses doubly sad..

  • Tatoo_U

I agree.  OBL is gone.  Why are we still there?

  • Anonymous

This photo just makes me cry every time I see it.  So many soldiers losing their lives, just so that we can all sit home and complain about ours.  I hope Hawkeye will be given a loving home.

  • DaveC

    so true

  • Flobitner

The sadness is beyond words to see this picture and to know the loyalty of a dog to it’s owner with it’s unconditional LOVE is what was so cherished when he was alive between the two of them!

I have the greatest RESPECT for ALL who are in the service and the families who stand with them. They are the TRUE HEROES. I know one thing for certain any politician that will cut the military budget to cut the deficit should NOT be reelected!

  • Kjorden1

Seriously?! You couldn’t tell by the tone of Callie’s message that her “blessing” was sincere? Makes you look like an a@#, is what it does, Mike!

  • Mike360000

    Well bless your heart…
    Thank you…

  • Lifelong in the midwest

I think it’s sad that you feel the need to correct someone on here.  She was talking about the dog…bless his heart…which is actually a loving, empathetic term in the midwest.  People say it all the time, and it’s NOT an insult.  Please think hard before saying something like this, as your statement is completely inaccurate and very cold.

Killing 1 man doesn’t mean the job is done. You people always have to put in that last word about withdrawing. Respect this soldier and his dog, then shut up.

  • Hitchcock Candy

RIP Jon. God bless you as I know he will. Thank you for your service and thank you to your family.

  • Amyandmacy2

This is so moving. Is the family keeping and taking care of Hawkeye?? I hope so, and I am assuming they are. I am sure someone must have been caring for him while this brave SEAL was away serving. Such a loss.

  • Horus

He’s not a soldier. He’s a SEAL, you would do well to know the difference. SEALs are made of different stuff than everyone else. This man is a hero of a different kind, shown here by his dog and the devotion of his team.

As a Former Navy Member, I have known a few Navy Seals. They all are just the same as me (flesh and blood) and the next military member. Who hopefully are or were there to stand up and protect all of us and if needed die for us. The ones i know don’t like to be treated any different. But they do imo work harder than a-lot of others.

Can’t believe that this has happened and we should be proud of each and every solider. But it  is time for them to come home and not let them take anymore lifes.
I a sorry to all the families that have lost someone friend, or family member to this war. But proud that they are fighting for America. GOD BLESS!

We have accomplished nothing with our involvement in meaningless foreign wars.  The Monroe Doctrine, which was one of the first things thrown out by the Northern Liberals after their victory in the Civil War, protected us from needless tragedies like this.  The only threat to the US, thanks to the two oceans,  is the invasion of an incompatible culture of people from south of the border whose qualities are insulting to our values, yet the military refuses to defend our border which is still their duty when a treasonous president opens that border to illegal scum.  If the military does not fix this problem, then let us just shut down the military completely and eliminate the needless tragic sacrifices made in good faith for an undeserving nation of fools who can vote. These simpletons usually vote for people they have no understanding of because of their total political ignorance.  There was a reason the Constitution attempted to limit the vote to those of achievement based in reality, and to provide for the National defense, not offense.

  • Ronaldmconverse

that is what they said about your family when it immigrated to this country, we are all immigrants unless you are a native american, and then you would not be putting down people for being different!  I do agree with the “needless” wars though and resent the coporations for making money off our dead sons and daughters in war profits!

  • Anonymous

College,as part of their indoctrination into one-world dictatorship,”forgets” to mention that the ixmmigrants to America, although of differing nationalities and language, shared common values such as sacrifice, hard work, freedom and the chance to become rich.  Soon they were one.  The current ixllegal’s, like the immigrants from North Korea we call “native” have none of these values and work only long enough, if at all, to fiesta for a few years.  By our standards the classic Mxexican is simply not capable of being an American, just as we found out after fifty years of academic misthinking, was the case with the classic Axfrican.  Rxacial differences are profound and real, and the only way to solve this problem is to make sure incompatibles do not live in the same area.  The result of not doing so is today’s American or European City.

  • Dakotapup2000

God Bless John, Hawkeye and their family.

That’s so nice, and sweet! God will Bless you for that. God Bless you, and your family.

The South covers a big territory, and in the part of the South that I come from, and the many parts I’ve lived in, “Bless your heart”  is said to lovingly console or sympathize with someone.  Guess I’ve never visited Mike’s South.

  • Dhsully

It does indeed make Mike look like an @$$ hole.

  • Dhsully

I agree that it’s sad to correct someone like Mike here, and I apologize for having done so.  We should do nothing to detract from the homage to this brave man and his loyal dog.

  • Jason Kreider

This article is a testament of kinship between us and canines. We need to show the same devotion with them always.

  • Concerned American

Excuse me, but this soldier, this American, died for, among other things, our right to criticize our country. Though you are not challenging anyone’s right to speak their mind, I would argue that your statement is vastly un-American. The implication that there is a time and a place for political discourse and a time and a place to “shut up” is exactly the kind of propaganda that has brainwashed millions of Americans into equating patriotism with just shutting up and agreeing with the status quo.

Important to remember that the First Amendment was set forth to protect people who espouse controversial or anti-establishment views, primarily. Not to protect people who talk about how great America is.

If you had any sense of patriotism, any inkling of understanding about how important it is that people be able to speak their mind, you would realize how little value your empty words have. (“Respect this soldier and his dog…”) If you truly respected anybody in our military, then you respect our right to criticize their leaders and the decisions they make – not pay tribute to them by saying “thank you” and slapping a yellow ribbon on your car.

There are differences and similarities between all people of all races.  I’m very disheartened by the way you’ve assumed all people of a certain ethnicity share the exact same values; is it really unbelievable that some of today’s immigrants may be just as hardworking, freedom-seeking, and capitalistic as some of history’s immigrants?  Notice that I said “some” in both cases.

  • Anonymous

Son,  In adult conversation it is understood that when a generalization is made such as “All lawyers are crooks” what is really meant is that a disproportionate fraction are crooks.  We adults do this to avoid have to repeat the same understood, boring disclaimer over and over.  Look, your childish criticism is OK as I was a sophomore myself once, and was very hung up on the detailed literal meanings rather than the big pictures.  It is called “seeing the forest instead of the trees”.  You will get there.

  • G_sandoval818

Do you even know how much the military gets paid? And you want to shut them down because theyre not doing your bidding?! Why dont you get off your computer, and go patrol the borders yourself instead of complaining like a whiny child who doesnt get his way.  How about you spend the next eight months away from YOUR  family, on minimum wage, working for someone like yourself. You’re a disgrace to humanity and OUR educational systems. The United States has TWO borders.

  • Aheitzler

A great American with his great canine friend.  Let’s keep criticizing our political leaders to use our military only as a last resort for failed diplomacy, to protect vital national interests, and to use maximum force to minimize risk to our troops.  Anything less from fellow citizens is letting the troops down.

  • Patty

Jon, thank you so much for your bravery.  You are a true Hero.  This has to be the saddest photo I have seen in a long time!!!!!  Instant tears.   God bless your family and friends.  God bless Hawkeye as well, as you can see he will be watching over you at all times.  People think dogs are stupid, perfect example he knows what is going on and look how sad he is.   Very tragic

  • LadyPLUSH

I don’t usually comment on any of the stories I read …. I don’t too much care for the ignorant comments. But I wanted to let you know that I agree with you and I couldn’t have said it any better myself. Keep schooling these uneducated unamericans.

  • openminded

Let me clarify why I am disheartened by your argument, now that I am enlightened on the use of generalizations.

I disagree that even a disproportionate amount of Mexicans, or Africans or North Koreans for that matter, are “not capable of being an American.”  I don’t believe that anyone is incapable of being an American — perhaps you can more clearly define what “our standard” is for being American, and explain why it is wrong to question — and perhaps change — the standards you define?  Isn’t that what America is really about?  The early European immigrants can surely be viewed as a new-standard-setting “invasion of an incompatible culture” by natives of this continent.

Whether we like it or not, standards are changing all the time, in America and around the world.  I think it is the fear of different values, and the fear of change, that fuels the arguments of those who want to stop immigration.

This photo should be used and shown daily to  express the need of ending the killing of our Men and Women for the sake of war. How many more people are we going to allow to be killed? Not only here in the US but in the countries that we choose to fight in? The Terorist are winning at thier goal to disstroy the United States everyday – when are people going to realize that thier goal is to not just kill us but to also kill our economy as well? At a cost of 1/2 billion bucks per day of money we don’t have – now the terorist are also in Lybia and this Country wants to spend more money we don’t have to go over there? We need to be reminded of Osama”s oringanal goals – which included bankrupting the US.

I am NAVY, always will be..I can say this freely from my association of our Special Forces, the NAVY SEALS define what a true warrior is and should be. They have brains, heart, honor, no fear and they’re tenacious when a job must be done! You never want to face a NAVY SEAL in battle, never!  We lost a extraordinary young man early in his life. This is a great lost for his family. His dog Hawkeye is a small reminder how grief is express. Hawkeye will still be loved.Jon’s family has my deepest heart felt sympathy!

  • Ggordon

As usual for those who make the comments you made, you miss the entire point of the post.  This SEAL volunteered to go where he went to fight for YOUR right to criticize this administration.  However, this forum is neither the time nor the place to voice that criticism.  This is a time to state how sad his death is and that your heart and condolences (as well as prayers) are with his family.

Your injecting political opinion into a sad and moving story is inappropriate and low.  The fact that you claim those who criticize your inappropriate behavior as unAmerican is typical of the Liberal leadership in this country and it is disgusting.

I for one send my condolences to Seaman Tumilson’s family.  And hope all our people in harm’s way remain safe

SOMEONE GOT OFF THE TRACK AND MADE A COMMENT ABOUT PAY. WHEN IN IRAQ OR AFGHANISTAN A  MILITARY E-6 W/20 YEARS OF SERVICE MAKES ABOUT $36,000 A YEAR WHICH BREAKS DOWN TO $4.10 AN HOUR. FROM A 168 HR WEEK. I SAY DO AWAY WITH MILITARY PENSION AN PAY THE MILITARY $4.10 AN HR FOR THE FIRST 40 HRS AND  $6.05 FOR THE SECOND 40HRS  AND $12.30 THE THIRD 40 AND AND $16.40 THE FORTH 40 HRS AND FINALLY $20.50 THE OTHER 8 HRS. TOTALS UP TO $1718 A WEEK AND THEN HAVE A 401K PLAN. THIS WOULD BE EQUIVALENT TO A CIVILIAN WORKER BEING PAID $2.00 PER HR LESS THEN MINIMUM WAGE. OH THAT’S ONLY $89,336 A YEAR. CONGRESSMEN THINK ABOUT THIS HARD BEFORE YOU WANT TO CUT OUR BENEFITS AND PAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I WOULD HAVE TO LIVE 60 YRS AFTER I RETIRED FROM THE NAVY TO MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE NOT COUNTING THE 401K PLAN.

I have nothing against the special forces but the mainstream Army is now a failed social experiment with no function since the real enemies of America are South of the border and within the border. But the military is doing nothing to rid us of the most serious threat since the revolution in 1776. They mean well but are rendered useless by a failure at the top, and they need to fix that. Otherwise, we need to cut the budget.

  • Anonymous

If you understood the great immigration of around 1900 you would be so overwhelmed by the character of those people that you would not consider them of the same species as those you are making excuses for. We are now several generations from those truly extraordinary people, and our young have been indoctrinated by academia, and so America is joining the trash heap of former great civilizations. Learn by observing, gathering brief facts from multiple sources–Google is great with but some political bias, and then thinking with your own mind to reach conclusions, which is the key to true understanding. Don’t read long books or listen to academics who have no real-world achievements, as their goal is to convert you to their world view. Listen to those who built industries.

My heart goes out to Navy Seal Jon Tumilsons family and especially to Hawkeye.  My deepest condolences for the loss of such a brave man.  Although I live in Australia I believe we live and fight
for the same reason………………for a world of Peace.  It’s heart wrenching to see, that to achive that, we have to loose family and friends who fight for our freedom.   May Navy Seal Jon Tumilson rest in peace.  May his family find peace in time.  And to Hawkeye, my heart broke by watching you laying there by your Masters coffin looking up to him and not understanding why he is not beside you with his arm around your shoulder.  Yet deep inside your heart you knew things will never be the same again.  But I know one day, you will see him and walk beside him and feel his arms around your shoulder once again. You will forever be in my heart and prayers.

It is quite logical for one whose society has stood at the forefront of achievement in improving the quality of life for themselves and the world to fear and invasion by a new species of no accomplishments, putrid living conditions, massive breeding rate, hideous crime rate, corruption in all levels of government–and these slime are allowed to vote and parasite off the producers of America. And they are violent criminals against thir benefator host. If you think this is good, and diversity is good, get the hell out of America and live in that cesspool to our South. I find your harsh opinion of Mexican people appalling.  I have 2 friends, born and raised in midwest American, that have chosen to move to Mexico, each in different areas and for different reasons.  Neither of them has ever made such awful, sweeping generalizations about the Mexican people, and I trust their experience and judgment.  I do not know about your experience, except that it must have been quite awful for you to come out with such a negative viewpoint of an entire race of people.

I agree that Mexico faces problems with poverty, which often correlates with the high birth rates, high crime rates, and poor living conditions you mention.  But just because someone lives in those conditions doesn’t mean they desire it or consider it their “standard” way of life, yet they may have little to no power to change it.  The massive corruption in their government is probably a major reason that the problems aren’t being dealt with and a very plausible reason many look to America as a land of opportunity.

I have not seen any strong evidence to support that the majority of Mexicans moving into America are only leeching off the system and not contributing to its growth and development.  The builders of industry have reaped many benefits from the hard work of Mexican immigrants, both back in the early 20th century and today.  My personal experience with Mexican people (probably both legal and illegal immigrants) in my area has overall been positive — they work, they play, they buy, sell, produce and consume like everyone else I know… they live what you may define as the “American standard.”  They are my neighbors and friends.  Your experience has obviously given you a much different perspective that has created a level of intolerance that I cannot identify with.

Visit a border town, but wear a germ suit, to see the reality.

Disqus generic email template: One needs to see things as they are, not how some academic or public figure portrays them. Fact is that the land of Meeexico is beautiful and endowed with natural resources but the people haven’t the ability to develop them. The population of Meeeexico is nearly equal to that of America, but try to name some achievements of Meeexicans that are of the dominant Spanish-Indian DxxxNA. There are some, but the statistics are very discouraging. Given their birth rate, allowing this DxxNA into America is the end of a wealthy country and the extension of poverty and brutality into an entire nation of former greatness. Sorry, but reality is often cruel.

when America worked we did not tolerate corruption or irresponsible behavior. But that is a matter of personal values. Mexico has the opposite extreme in values from America and the two cultures are incompatible. Nothing wrong with that. If you like their culture move there, and if you like ours move here. But wherever you are adopt the values of the dominant culture or you will find life very unpleasant. Corruption can quickly be stopped by lynching public officials, but when have you heard of that in Mexico. The brutality there is simply motivated by the drug profits.

God Bless Jon and his Dog, and may God Bless the one that wrote, from the heart, these awesome words, and above all…’Please God, Bless our Nation and all the men and women that are away from home protecting our Freedom and our Constitution, and those that have paid the ultimate price with their lives, and their families, thank Lord in Jesus name we beg”

Navy SEAL Jon Tumilson’s faithful and loyal Labrador Retriever,
said it all in  mournful silence, as he
kept watch over his Master’s flag draped coffin. It was a time for Healing, Remembrance,
and Honor, and no one displayed that better than his dog Hawkeye. The whole world has witnessed
    his silent testimony of love.

  • Sunshinesda1

    thank you for those words

I am a hardened Vietnam Veteran and death is something that I can take or leave with ease.  However this one brought tears to my eyes. ” Hawkeye” gave unconditional love to to his friend and buddy until the end.   God bless you Navy Seal Tomilson and Hawkeye.  Your service is greatly appreciated

If a Mexican person shares the values that America (supposedly) espouses, then by the logic you present above, they should be allowed to immigrate here.  It may not be easy to lynch corrupt government officials or the drug lords paying them, when they’re the ones with the military might, threatening the lives of those they exploit.  What is easier — starting a revolution against violent leaders with almost no resources of your own, or seeking opportunity in a place that is much more likely to allow basic rights, like freedom of speech and assembly?  Isn’t that the reason for a lot of immigration throughout history?

I agree that some level of assimilation is appropriate for people moving into a new culture, and I am not advocating a wide-open border without some measure of due diligence.  But again, I have yet to see strong evidence that most Mexicans are unwilling to accept many aspects of the American culture.  And the idea of genetic inferiority is the weakest ethnocentric argument I have heard yet.

    When did America work?

  • Anonymous

America was in a class of its own as the most admired, and envied, and richest, and most powerful  country in the world until the supreme court decided that blacks and whites were compatible back in the 1950s, and should be forced to associate with each other against their will.  Then came, the decline in education standards, drugs, welfare, affirmative action, voting for everyone, tolerance of criminals, promiscuity, anti-American films and music, and the rise of liberalism.

I see similarities between your ideal America and Hitler’s ideal Germany… yikes!

  • Anonymous

Perhaps we need to re-think that era.  Germany was supported by all of Europe, except the area around Amsterdam, the British isles which is why Churchill was thrown out of office when he faced his first election, the south of South America and many Americans like the Kennedys.  Try to learn the reality of that era instead of the liberal Time-Life version and you will find that the notion of polluting races was very unpopular.  Subsequent events have shown why.  Remember, college and the MSM are false sources of history.  If you Google who the real genociders were you will find it was not Germany but our ally, the Soviet Union.  Try to explain this.

  • Collegedropout30

All that I believe about human history is that people in a position of power (aka, they can control the actions of others) have a tendency to try to exile, scare away, or kill those who are different.  And if they have bigger guns, they usually “win” (aka get what they want) at least for awhile, and then the cycle starts all over again.  There probably isn’t a single place on earth this hasn’t happened, since humans are all over the place, thinking they’re awesome because other people will follow them… Humans are so self-righteous. (And I didn’t learn that in college or on Google.)  But human nature makes us self-centered and what you think is human progress may be quite the opposite if you look at it from another perspective.  You mentioned earlier that Mexicans should just “fix” their land and stay out of America… Why didn’t the Europeans just “fix” their land instead of immigrating and polluting the culture and insulting the values of the natives here?

The reasons are as follows: Only those of extraordinary courage and initiative undertook the very dangerous voyage over the Atlantic so they could be free, and develop an ideal continent protected from foreign powers except from the nearly unihabitated South and North. They found upon arriving a scattering of peoples that had earlier migrated here from North Korea. These were very primitive and war-loving savages that had almost no initiative or intelligence. Thus it was easy for a few Europeans, after crossing a vast ocean, to defeat these inhabitants and put the valuable land to use. Now, the remnants of the North Koreans–called Indians because Columbus thought he had landed in India instead of an unknown continent–enjoy lives of luxury and peace as the Euros tamed them and separated the incompatible cultures. Euros have done more to lift the misery of the world than all the rest of humanity, but now we have lost our way by thinking that the easy road of higher education can produce wealth instead of the work required in factories where nearly all wealth is really generated. China has awakened and soon will dominate the world, and that would be better for us than a government of academics, illegals and other minorities.

God bless you Msannelambert.  And thank you for showing such love in their time of saddness. That is a Beautiful poem and it expressed what all those who are hurting feel for all those who have been lost.

No, Jon was not a army soldier, but he was a man willing to fight for others bearing the title of a special elite group.  Thank God, for those men and women who are willing to go forward when others are not.

It makes no different wheter your special services in the navy, army, marine or air force; they are all fighting men and women and giving their all to keep those oppresssed and living in fear free and safe.

Jon was special, he was a Navy Seal and I thank him for his service, his honor and his courage.

May the Lord be with all who are hurting from the loss of a loved one fallen in the act of helping and fighting for others.

it was easy to defeat the natives, so that makes it ok. and since they werent over-populated and were just wasting the potential of the land, that makes it even better, huh.  yea, claiming ownership and raping the land to its limit is way better for humanity.  sounds like to populate is to govern and might makes right.  be afraid dude, cuz the world is changing.

RIP to the navy seal who died defending freedom and liberty for all

Kid, It is our liberal government which rewards the mass welfare breeders for overpopulation. Looney liberals think genetically challenged individuals should have all the father-absent kids they want, then not provide for them, and dump this next generation of trash on the producers of society like me. Hence, we have Meeeexicans and Urban Aaaafricans. I hope you have the intelligence to break out of the indoctrination you are receiving in school, thinking it is an education, and wake up to reality. But anyone who uses the word “dude” is facing a serious mental struggle. America is changing from the most outstanding culture in history to a third-world sewer of minorities, soon to be the majority. You sound like one of them, but so did I when I was 17 and a college sophomore.

the broken record says…. son/kid, school is just a bunch of liberal idiots, racism and stereotyping is logical, non-whites don’t deserve opportunities, if you don’t believe all this then your stupid.  love, stubborn old person.

Sounds like you are starting to grasp reality, which requires repetition for the indoctrinated kids like you, except everybody has opportunity if they are willing to sacrifice. It is not a question of deserving. It is a question of making your own. Read about how America was settled, how the Asians were the most discriminated against in America and are now the wealthiest group. And then all this incredible opportunity America presented was destroyed by the liberal academic fools. Get a job kid.

What has all this left vs right crap got to do with the Seal and his dog???

If you make the sacrifice of a life, as this soldier did, you should first understand if you are making that sacrifice for a worthy cause. Otherwise, you are just another jihadist. Is modern America worthy of the sacrife? If liberals keep their power I would not sacrifice the time of day for America anymore. Think with your mind not your emotions.

God bless our military men and women who are serving, and who have served our country. Especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. K9 dogs are wonderful animals and are also willing to give their lives in service to their masters. It’s touching to see Hawkeye’s devotion to his master, even in death. Check out this site that deals with K9 dogs and their training for military and police action: http://www.how-to-become-a-cop.com/k9-training.html  My nephew was a K9 officer for a while and my brother-in-law was killed in a helicopter crash a few years ago as a paramedic on a flight for life mission, so this story touches me on more than one level.
