The Marines have now confirmed that one person died yesterday when a helicopter crashed at Camp Pendleton. The five Marines injured in the crash were taken to area hospitals, including Scripps La Jolla and Mission Hospital in Orange County, as reported yesterday by Home Post. The Marines have not yet released the names of those involved in the crash.
The aircraft involved in the accident was an UH-1Y Huey helicopter, according to NBC 7/39:
