The Marine Corps has chosen a 9-week-old pedigree English bulldog to be its newest mascot.
After a few weeks of obedience training, the pup will be officially named Pfc. Chesty XIV on March 29, according to ABC News.
Pfc. Chesty XIV will replace his predecessor, Sgt. Chesty XIII.
Marine mascots are named in honor of Lieutenant General Lewis "Chesty" Burwell Puller, one of the most decorated Marines in the Corps' history, according to his official biography.
